VP Managing Director at R/GA
Marketing and Advertising | São Paulo Area, Brazil, BR
Since 1998, I've been helping many local and global brands find innovative ways to interact with customers and grow their businesses - creating, planning and executing ideas for several different goals - and accumulating vast experience in marketing and communication.
During the rise of the Internet in Brazil, I worked at Modem Media, one of the first local interactive agencies, where I helped major global and local brands to build their initial digital presence. In 2003 I joined Fábrica, where I developed and integrated the digital offerings into the agency and subsequently became the general planning director. In 2006 I was invited by Neogama/BBH to build and expand the integrated communication offerings, which later become a separated business - Insula. As Digital Planning and Creative Director, I pioneered the mobile market in Brazil, launching some very early innovations, such as the first iPhone app developed in Latin America and the first augmented reality iPhone app in the country, both designed to Bradesco. Insula won the Digital Agency of the Year by ABEMD in 2008 for this innovative work.
In 2010 I joined R/GA to help build the São Paulo office from the scratch. Over the first 4 years, we grew from 3 people, to a talented group of more than 80 people and accumulated numerous prestigious awards. We started serving MarterCard (Brazil and LAC), and quickly expanded to a variety of new clients, including: TIM, J&J, Bradesco, Nike, Google, YouTube, Whirlpool, BTG Pactual and Samsung. On december of 2014 I was invited to become the Managing Director of our operation.
My educational background includes an MBA in Services Marketing from ESPM, a BS in Business from PUC SP, and a 4-year technology course at UNESP. Aside from my work at R/GA, I'm also always dedicating some of my time to help educate the market as a regular speaker at conferences and as innovation teacher at Miami AdSchool, FAAP and ESPM - some of the most respected universities in this market.
